PS:Die “River Tour” führte Bruce Springsteen, Roy Bittan, Clarence Clemons, Danny Federici, Garry Tallent, Steven Van Zandt und Max Weinberg im April 1981 erstmals für vier Konzerte nach Deutschland. Der “Boss” begeisterte vor mittlerweile 37 Jahren die Fans in Hamburg (Kongresshalle), Berlin (ICC), Frankfurt (Festhalle) und München (Olympiahalle).
Das erste Konzert auf europäischem Boden nach 1975 spielte Bruce Springsteen am Abend des 7. April 1981 in der ausverkauften Kongresshalle in Hamburg.

Zwei Tage später war die E Street Band im “Internationalen Congress Centrum” Berlin zu Gast. Bruce Springsteen eröffnete die Show erstmals mit “Factory” und erfreute die knapp 10.000 Zuschauer ausserdem mit den Europapremieren von “Factory” und dem Woody Guthrie Klassiker “This Land Is Your Land”.

Nach einem Konzert im “Hallen Stadion”, Zürich, kehrte Bruce Springsteen am 14. April 1981 nach Deutschland zurück, um eines der besten Konzerte der River Tour zu spielen. Auch die Frankfurter Festhalle war restlos ausverkauft.
