Sex sollte verboten werden, da sind wir uns wohl alle einig. "The Daily Loaf" hat anlässlich der "Springsteen Woche" die Songs des Künstlers genauer unter die Lupe genommen:
Springsteen Week: Sex in the songs of SpringsteenSeptember 8, 2009 at 9:45 am by Rabid Nick Refer
Sex and rock ‘n’ roll go hand in hand, and when it comes to rockin’ and lovin’, no one does it better than The Boss. Any number of Bruce Springsteen albums will send you zooming off in your car to the nearest body of water, to put your hands all over your lover’s engine. Below are the Rabid One’s Top 5 Sex in Springsteen Songs.
Number 5: When Bruce and the band take the Ford Amphitheatre stage next Saturday, “‘I’m Goin Down” is the likeliest song on this list you’ll hear. “Down” isn’t as much about sex as it’s about NOT having sex. The woman in the song leads the guy on, only to push him away. My interpretation of the song is a bit more scandalous. I think the narrator isn’t getting any lovin’ until he literally says, “I’m goin’ down.” Take it from the Boss fellas, if you want any action you have to go down.
“She says baby if you wanna be wild you got a lot to learn, close your eyes
Let them melt let them fire let them burn.”
Number 4: “Candy’s Room” is the story of the encounter between an innocent boy and what’s seems to be an experienced sex worker making him a man. This song makes it seem almost romantic to fall for a prostitute.
Number 3: “Pink Cadillac” isn’t a typical Springsteen song about a car or sex. The narrator just wants to know “what it’s like in the back of her pink Cadillac.”
Number 2: “Reno” made Springsteen history when it was released in 2005, earning the Boss’s first ever “Parental Advisory” warning because of the line:
“‘Two hundred dollars straight in, Two-fifty up the ass, she smiled and said.”
Number 1: “Red Headed Woman” isn’t quite as upfront as the previous choice, but it’s still not very subtle. Again, The Boss returns to the importance of cunnilingus.
“Well, push comes to shove Man,
and shove comes to push
And I was Moses standing ‘fore the burning bush
A red headed woman
A red headed woman
It takes a red headed woman to get that dirty job done”QUELLE
