New Jersey mom Ann Kelly denies affair with Bruce SpringsteenBY Joe Kemp AND Corky Siemaszko
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER The New Jersey mom accused of having an affair with The Boss insisted Friday she wasn't his Rosalita.
Ann Kelly issued the denial via her lawyer, Noel Tonneman, who said she first heard about the alleged romance from the media.
"All she wants everyone to know is that she's denying all this," Tonneman said of her client.
Kelly's lawyer she still hasn't seen the divorce papers in which spurned husband Arthur Kelly claims his wife of 17 years "committed adultery with one Bruce Springsteen.
Tonneman, however, said "we plan to file on Monday an application to seal these records so this media circus ends."
Kelly, 44, who was believed to be hiding out with friends on the Jersey Shore, has not yet spoken publicly about her husband's lurid claims.
Her dad, a local divorce lawyer named Stephen Carton, told The Daily News on Thursday that his daughter and Springsteen had just a "talking relationship" and knew each other from the gym.
Kelly belongs to The Atlantic Club in Red Bank, but members were reluctant to discuss her alleged romance with Springsteen.
"I've been friends with Ann for a long time, just let it be," said one woman at the club's coffee shop.
The Kelly marriage was marked by violence and Ann recently filed a domestic abuse complaint against her husband, Carton said earlier.
Arthur Kelly, 45, was charged with simple assault on March 3 and removed from the family home in West Long Branch, N.J., police said. Information about the disposition of the case was not immediately available.
Kelly's husband wants joint custody of their daughters, ages 13 and 10. He wants his soon-to-be ex to pay child support and for their college education.
This is not the first time Springsteen, 59, who has homes in Rumson and Colts Neck, N.J., has been accused of cheating.
The Boss was accused of seducing his backup singer and current wife, 53-year-old Patti Scialfa, back in 1988 while he was still married to actress Julianna Phillips.
Three years ago, Springsteen denied a report saying he had an affair with a 9/11 widow whom he met in 2001.
Asked about Arthur Kelly's explosive allegations, an official representative for Springsteen told The News, "Bruce stands by his Aug. 28, 2006, statement."
In that statement, Springsteen dismissed the infidelity allegations as "unfounded and ugly rumors," and said his marriage "remains as strong as the day we were married."
