Bruce Springsteen Rumored For New Year's Show In Sydney Bruce Springsteen is in talks to join the growing list of headlining acts for a New Year's Eve performance at Glebe Island in Sydney, Australia.
According to a report from Australia's Daily Telegraph, the show has not yet been approved, but could bring in as many as 40,000 fans.
The event was initially scheduled to take place last year with a set by Sting but was called off after event minister Ian MacDonald left office. Now promoter Andrew McManus is hoping the event will lift off this year.
McManus has been vocal about his desire to land the Rolling Stones for the show; however, the rock icons have made no announcement confirming interest. He is also reportedly in talks with the Black Eyed Peas.
Transportation authorities have fought plans for the event due to increased transportation concerns.
