Zitat:
I'm happy to announce a new fan-produced eight-DVD Bruce Springsteen
compilation called: "Bruce: In Some Fashion." For those of you who "get"
the title, kudos to you as a knowledgeable fan.
This is a companion set to the "This Is Your Life" DVD compilation that
was released in the summer of 2003.
"Bruce: In Some Fashion" has been in the making for more than two years.
It started when a friend loaned me about 75 videotapes he'd recorded in
the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Amazing, the things he recorded! If Bruce was
on TV in some fashion, this man recorded it. We went through all his tapes
and put together all the best clips, and more besides.
The resulting set contains more than 16 hours of all types of Bruce
clips -- TV news reports, concert footage, award shows, interview clips
from 1977 to 2005. There's even a clip from "Jeopardy" when they had a
category "The Boss" in the 1980s. (See the index below.) Some of the
footage has been seen before but much of it has not. The compilation is
sort of a documentary of Bruce's career, his music and his fans over the
years. I think any Bruce fan will enjoy it. Each disc has chapters and
menus and artwork will be available for the set on brucevideos.com
****
This set is being announced today on multiple Bruce Springsteen boards by
the team associated with this project. On RMAS, this is not a freebie or
B&P offer, nor a tree; this is a fundraiser. Proceeds from this offering
(after expenses) will be donated to several charities, including the
Monmouth County (NJ) SPCA, a charity to aid Katrina victims and to a
foodbank in Canada.
