auch von spl...habs noch nicht gelesen http://www.msnbc.com/news/987879.asp?cp1=1#BODY and then Springsteen came to some of my lectures das würde mich sehr motivieren... aber das ist strange oder versteh ich das falsch What is your favorite Springsteen song? I like “Born in the USA.” Why? He’s crossing the country and reminding us of what this country is. I have traveled a lot around the world and every time I came back to this country, I was thrilled. This song kind of reminds us of what we are lucky to be a part of, that is what he is telling us. ...da gibts noch mehr hauer -oder ? |

Ich finde die Antwort mehr als in Ordnung und würde mich sogar (als nicht-Amerikaner!) anschliessen. Ich glaube, ich habe über die Jahre mit Springsteen Songs und den Erzählungen von amerikanischen Fans mehr über Amerika gelernt, als hier in Deutschland über die Medien transportiert wird. Auch BitU ist mehr als nur das Vietnam Drama und die Anklage. Es drückt schon auch etwas über eine amerikanische Urvorstellung und die Lebensweise aus. Es ist diese unbeugsame Kraft voller Optimismus in die Zukunft zu schauen. Trotz aller Ablehnung und Anklage weiter zu machen. Das ist auch der Held in BitU. Er gibt nicht auf. Und das zählt. |
