September 8, 2009 at 9:45 am by Rabid Nick Refer Sex and rock ‘n’ roll go hand in hand, and when it comes to rockin’ and lovin’, no one does it better than The Boss. Any number of Bruce Springsteen albums will send you zooming off in your car to the nearest body of water, to put your hands all over your lover’s engine. Below are the Rabid One’s Top 5 Sex in Springsteen Songs. Number 5: When Bruce and the band take the Ford Amphitheatre stage next Saturday, “‘I’m Goin Down” is the likeliest song on this list you’ll hear. “Down” isn’t as much about sex as it’s about NOT having sex. The woman in the song leads the guy on, only to push him away. My interpretation of the song is a bit more scandalous. I think the narrator isn’t getting any lovin’ until he literally says, “I’m goin’ down.” Take it from the Boss fellas, if you want any action you have to go down. “She says baby if you wanna be wild you got a lot to learn, close your eyes Let them melt let them fire let them burn.” Number 4: “Candy’s Room” is the story of the encounter between an innocent boy and what’s seems to be an experienced sex worker making him a man. This song makes it seem almost romantic to fall for a prostitute. Number 3: “Pink Cadillac” isn’t a typical Springsteen song about a car or sex. The narrator just wants to know “what it’s like in the back of her pink Cadillac.” Number 2: “Reno” made Springsteen history when it was released in 2005, earning the Boss’s first ever “Parental Advisory” warning because of the line: “‘Two hundred dollars straight in, Two-fifty up the ass, she smiled and said.” Number 1: “Red Headed Woman” isn’t quite as upfront as the previous choice, but it’s still not very subtle. Again, The Boss returns to the importance of cunnilingus. “Well, push comes to shove Man, and shove comes to push And I was Moses standing ‘fore the burning bush A red headed woman A red headed woman It takes a red headed woman to get that dirty job done” QUELLE |

Das erinnert mich doch glatt an das, was er mal während ner Devils Show gesagt hat: Zitat: “There’s kind of only two kinds of love songs, really. There’s getting together songs when you’re infatuated, and there’s breakup songs. Then, I guess there’s some xxxx You’ songs. They’re usually in country music, actually. There’s ‘I’m Gonna Kill You’ songs. That’s usually in folk music and rap music, so everybody takes their own approach to the whole thing. My mother grew up playing all the romantic songs on the radio, and that’s what I heard every morning. In the 50s there was this whole generation of young men trying to sing like beautiful women. That was very smart, ’cause they’d sing way up here, kind of like (sings falsetto melody). I always thought that was crafty because what their seduction was, ‘I’m gonna come up, and I’m gonna speak in your voice to you, beautiful lady. I’m gonna be talkin’ in your language. I’m comin’ up where you live, and I’m a sensitive, understanding man. And will you pull your pants down?’ That is the subtext of all rock n’ roll music. I believe actually it was the subtext of all classical music, also. It is the great motivator for people to write music. You can tell because it works well at the end of any rock song, like ‘It’s a town full of losers and we’re pullin’ out of here to win…and will you pull your pants down?’ or ‘Tramps like us, baby we were born to run…so will you pull your pants down?’ And it also works in the most kind of hardcore protest music that seems to be aimin’ for something higher, like, ‘It’s a hard rain’s-a gonna fall…so you might as well pull your pants down!’” Bruce Springsteen, Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ 11-13-05 |

Leap Of Faith vom Album Lucky Town scheint mir aber auch etwas schlüpfrig bzw. zweideutig zu sein: Now your legs were heaven your breasts were the altar Your body was the holy land You shouted "jump" but my heart faltered You laughed and said "Baby don't you understand?" Now you were the Red Sea I was Moses I kissed you and slipped into a bed of roses The waters parted and love rushed inside I was Jesus' son sanctified Nachtigall, ick hör Dir trapsen... |

Bin gerade etwas erstaunt ...
