BEHIND THE SCENES: The Sunday Drive

The Scene: During the tour break, Bruce takes Patti and the kids out for
their Sunday drive in New Jersey

Bruce (singing, while scanning radio stations): Upside... inside out...
Livin La Vida Loca darlin'... she'll push and...

Patti: 'darlin'? He doesn't say 'darlin,' baby.

Bruce: What's that?

Patti: He doesn't say 'darlin.'

Bruce: It's a cover, sweety... hey, what's... what's that like?

Patti: What's what like??

Bruce: Everytime I sing somethin' on the radio... you get a new Bruce
cover... Pretty cool huh?

Patti: Big whoopdeedoodah.... just drive, huh?

Bruce (singing again): Her lips are devil red... Livin La Vida Loca
Mister........ hey kids... you see that big house up there on that hill?
That mansion? That's where the rich people...

Patti: They're asleep baby.

Bruce: Asleep? already?? Damn... when my Daddy took me out I'd NEVER go ta
sleep... wasn't allowed... If I ever went to sleep on him he'd slap me
uplongside my head.... there wasn't any sleepin' in THAT car... let me tell
ya... He'd park in front of that big house and I HAD to look... had to
look.... wasn't any sleepin'. Couldn't even blink.

Patti: But baby... We LIVE in a house like that... it doesnt make any sense
now.

Bruce: And he sure as hell wouldn't be takin' me to no damn McDonalds.... no
sir..... I'd be sittin' there... he wouldn't say a word... and I'd sit
there... and...

Patti: McDonalds? Do we have to go THERE again? God.

Bruce: I told em... I told em we'd go to Mickey Dees.... for Tarzan
straws.... and cheeseburgers.

Patti: Whatever... I guess it's better than Taco Bell... that Jar Jar thing
gives me the creeps.

Bruce (singing again): Upside... inside out... Livin La Vida...

Patti: You been thinking about the Meadowlands, baby?

Bruce: Whaddabowdit?

Patti: You know... what you're gonna do... the songs and stuff... like what
you're gonna open with for instance. You gotta mix it up a little more,
baby.

Bruce: I'm thinkin' 'Promised Land.'

Patti: 'Promised Land'? C'mon, baby.

Bruce: I don't... I dont' know... haven't really thought about it.

Patti: It's a week away, Mister... A WEEK AWAY. You'd better START thinking
about it.

Bruce: 'Prove It'?..... or 'Badlands' ya think?

Patti: I'm serious, baby. You're in New Jersey. Mix it up. You can do
ANYTHING you want to. Have some fun. Suprise em' baby. You hear it's gonna
be on VH1??

Bruce: What is?

Patti: The first couple songs... Jonny hooked it up.

Bruce: Damn.

Patti: That's why you gotta mix it up, sweety.... the whole country's gonna
be watching you. And you wanna start out with 'Prove It'??? How about... how
about... hey... how about INCIDENT??? Oh My God!! INCIDENT!! WAIT!!
NO......Ready?? SERENADE!!!!

Bruce: Jeezus Pats... What's with you, baby?

Patti: Sorry... fan first, wife second, remember? All's I'm saying is try
mixing it up. It'll be fun.

Bruce: Mix it up huh? Hmmmm....

Patti: See how easy it is?

Bruce: Yeah... yeah... ok.... ok..... I might... I might.... have an
idea........

Patti: Kids.... c'mon... start waking up.... who want's McDonalds??

Bruce (singing): Upside... inside out... Livin La Vida Loca Mister....

Kein Problem. Ist leider alles, was ich auftreiben konnte. Ich denke, dass die meisten dieser Geschichten irgendwo in den Foren-Archiven (wenn überhaupt) gelandet sind und man sie daher nicht mehr so richtig suchen kann.
