It looks like the Boss may rule McKinley High.
Rumors have been percolating that Bruce Springsteen will appear on "Glee" when it returns next season, and now the show's executive producer, Ian Brennan, is adding fuel to the fire.
Brennan tells Eonline that he wants Springsteen to guest-star as a motivational speaker on a special Springsteen episode – although nothing is set yet.
"We have sat down and talked a little bit about where we want the show to go," says Brennan, "but we haven't written anything yet."
Springsteen's character would also be Finn's (Cory Monteith) uncle and sing "Born in the USA," "Born to Run" and "Dancing in the Dark" with Monteith and Lea Michele's Rachel, according to PopEater.
Jane Lynch, who plays meany cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, says she has also heard Springsteen may pop up on "Glee."
"I think that would be amazing," she adds. "I'm a big fan."
If Springsteen does appear on "Glee," he will join an impressive roster that includes Britney Spears, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristin Chenoweth and Neil Patrick Harris.
"Glee" will return for its third season in the fall.
